Every archive starts with an idea – but then what?
The US Library of Congress advises to start as simple as possible and “approach your collection as a single unit of stuff“. This is why we start our project on the joint Judeo-Christian traditions of biblical and parabiblical characters with the heroine of the (pseoduepigraphic) Book of Judith.
As we are interested in a “Museum of All”, we are grateful for any contribution to our online archive: Be it Medieval manuscript illuminations, social media posts, saltshaker, napkins, films, or baroque sonnets – all sources are equally valuable to us, no matter how curious.
These cultural manifestations are spread widely, from typical source material to everyday life. To get a broad basis of evidence, swarm intelligence is needed – and so we thought that it might be easiest to just let others do our research for us and start a Facebook group. If you come across any, let us know and post it in our interactive Facebook group.
Bill Gates (allegedly) said: “I choose a lazy person to do a hard job. Because a lazy person will find an easy way to do it.” This is why we hope for your assistance… Thank you for supporting our idleness! 🙂
